Extra Curricular Activities

We offer a range of Afterschool activities, Revision Session and Catch-Up Sessions running from 3pm until 4pm. Most of the activities are free of charge.

All details of the activities can be found on the display boards in the following locations: PE Corridor, Student reception. Upper and Lower Atrium.

During Easter Holidays and Summer Holidays the Study Support team also run a range of activities for anyone to attending from cooking to craft to laser quest! If you are interested in any of these holiday activities speak to one of our study support team based in the LRC.

Do you have good organisational skills? Do you have the confidence to run one of our afterschool activities, between 3.00pm to 4.00pm? Then why not consider becoming one of our Chaucer CU Ambassadors. For more information on how to apply speak to Miss Shaw in the LRC.


Sheffield Children’s University


Chaucer school is a proud member of the Sheffield Children’s University. Which means you can collect credits for doing the activities you love to do!

For each hour of activities you attend you earn 1 Children’s University credit. Once you earn minimum of 30 credits you will be awarded a certificate for your commitment.

Students can also purchase their passport to learning from the Learning Resource Centre in school priced at just £2.00, these then can be taken to other activity destinations throughout Sheffield to earn their credits.
