New Performance Measures
For a number of years, whole school measures have been based around the number of students achieving A*-C in 5 or more subjects including English and maths along with the levels of progress made in the two core subjects.

From 2015 the whole school measure has been replaced by…

Progress 8
the Government’s new way of measuring how well students make progress at secondary school. It replaces the 5A*-C including English and maths measure and is a much fairer measure as it includes how well students of all abilities have done.

Attainment 8
is a measure of achievement of students across 8 qualifications including English and Maths which are double weighted. The attainment 8 figure for the school is an average of all students’ achievements.

Percentage of students achieving a ‘good’ pass (currently a grade C) in both English and maths.

Percentage of students achieving the English Baccalaureate
this measure is achieved by students achieving a ’good’ pass in English, maths, two sciences, a foreign language and either geography or history.
